Becoming an influencer.

The rise of social media and people interacting with each other has created a lot of new job opportunities one of which is becoming an influencer. We can notice how especially on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, a lot of people, whether it being for fun or as a job have became influencers. Some might argue; 'what makes you an influencer?'. Truth be told, you need no approval or qualifications to become an influencer (a couple thousands of followers surely help). Becoming an influencer is based solely on the content you create to the eye of the public and carefully sharing things with people that they can relate to in order to keep them interested in your page and your future posts.

Thanks to social media, anything has become possible as it is the biggest platform where people from all around the world meet and connect even if it is from afar. It is actually quite a satisfying illusion to think you are so close to someone who might be messaging you instantly but is actually very far away. Thanks to this, certain instagram, tiktok and facebook accounts became famous overnight after sharing just a few if not one single post. The reason for this is because they would've went viral after 1 post. You might ask how is this possible? Thanks to algorythyms and the help of people sharing content they like, this has all become possible as good content is being shared all around the globe in a fast way making people instantly popular. What is worrying to some people is that influencers tend to have a fanbase who follow them thoroughly and will believe anything these people say and do which becomes a problem when certain influencers tend to inform about certain subjects which they do not know much about or do things that might be of danger if copied by other people. This raises an issue in social media societies as people are lead on with fake information which create a chain reaction into a lot of deceiving things being said from one person to the other.

Everyone has the right and the opportunity to become an influencer especially with such a broad way to connect to your followers nowadays. However it should be both the audience's and the influencer's responsibilities that they do not make everything they say part of their religion and to be careful on what to post on social media if this might affect people's lives in a bad way, respectively. The internet gives us a lot of different opportunities just aswell as making our lives easier but it is also a powerful tool that can be used negatively and could hurt others if not used wisely.
